‘Emily in Paris’ S6 New Release Date Plus Dreamy First Look
Say au revoir, because our favorite American in Paris is heading into her final chapter. Netflix has revealed the release date and a glamorous first look at ‘Emily in Paris’ Season 6, and it is the ultimate holiday gift: the sixth and final season premieres globally on December 24, just in time for Christmas Eve. And this farewell tour is taking Emily somewhere new and spectacular.
For a series built on the fantasy of European escape, the goodbye looks every bit as dreamy as fans could have hoped.
Emily Trades Paris for Greece and Monaco
According to Variety, which shared the news alongside a batch of stunning new photos, Season 6 will whisk Emily (Lily Collins) beyond the cobblestones of Paris to the sun-soaked shores of Greece, as well as Monaco, a first for the show. The trip picks up right where Season 5 left off, when chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) sent Emily a postcard inviting her to meet him on his boss’s yacht in the Mediterranean.
The first-look images deliver everything fans adore: Emily strutting down a picturesque Greek beach in a striking red-and-white ensemble, catching up with best friend Mindy (Ashley Park) on a Parisian bench, and clutching a pair of metallic gold stilettos, because of course. In other words, the fashion is as loud and proud as ever.
What to Expect From the Final Season
Naturally, plot details are being kept under wraps, but the official logline teases plenty of drama ahead. “Stepping into a new era of ambition and romance, Emily faces defining choices that test her ultimate loyalties,” it reads, adding that “unexpected career conflicts and shifting relationships” will force her to make “one final choice between her career, her heart and the life she’s built in Paris.”
Series creator Darren Star promised to send the show off in style. “I wanted the final season to feel like the biggest ‘Emily in Paris’ experience yet,” he shared, noting that Greece was a location the team “really wanted to showcase in a spectacular way.”
The Beloved Cast Returns
Emily will not be saying goodbye alone. The entire ensemble is back, including Ashley Park (Mindy), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine), Minnie Driver (Princess Jane), and Paul Forman (Nico).
With love triangles still tangled, careers on the line, and a whole new set of glamorous backdrops, this final season is shaping up to be a fittingly fabulous send-off. It has been a whirlwind since Emily first landed in the City of Light, and if these first-look photos are any indication of the fashion and romance to come, we are not ready to let her go. Will you be tuning in on Christmas Eve?
