Valentino Couture Unveils New Collection With a Livestream Fashion Show

Valentino

Maison Valentino hosts a live stream fashion show to unveil the couture’s Fall/Winter 2020-2021 collection.

Italian fashion house Valentino sets the bar at all high with the release of their live stream fashion show to introduce the world to the Fall/Winter 2020-2021 couture line, titled “Of Grace and Light.”

Pierpaolo Piccioli leads his artistic team through a vision of dreamscapes as he experiments with the emotion of his creations. With models standing on columns and harnessed in mid-air displaying the gowns that are dramatically extreme in terms of length, Piccioli’s vision becomes enhanced through the creative lens of fashion photographer Nick Knight. Soundtracked with FKA Twigs’ “Mary Magdelene,” the fashion show goes above the limitations of fashion runways, including those induced by the global pandemic. “I didn’t want to feel the limitations. Couture is made for emotions, dreams,” Piccioli released a press conference, “it was super-emotional for us all to be here together to win this challenge. A moment I will never forget.”

Piccioli began designing for Valentino’s accessories department in 1999. In 2008, Piccioli, along with longtime friend and designing partner, Maria Grazia Chiuri, became co-creative directors after highly successful handbag and accessories launches. When Chiuri became the creative director for Dior, Piccioli continued as creative director with Valentino, furthering the success of the Italian fashion house couture line.

As runway shows continue to adapt in the wake of the pandemic to keep everyone safe, Maison Valentino certainly has proved how to capture the beauty, emotion, and creativity that only runway shows can deliver. Live the experience of Valentino Couture “Of Grace and Light” by clicking here.
