Fans are anxiously awaiting the latest installment of The Suicide Squad. James Gunn shared in a tweet teasing the trailer with the caption, “Our first trailer. Warning: gore & adult language & supervillains & adventure & heart. Can’t wait to see it in a theater with all of you on August 6.”
Not only do fans get a trailer and exciting posters, but also a release date for the film. The three-minute-long trailer promises to take fans on a journey with the characters we all have come to know and love, while also being introduced to newer faces.
In a series of new posters, fans have fallen in love with the aesthetic James Gunn has created. Harley Quinn, one of the most beloved characters to date, shows Robbie wearing half-black, half-red, donning dark makeup, and bright red eyeshadow.
I have loved the character of Harley Quinn since she debuted as an animated character. It was my privilege bringing her to life in all her nutso glory. @MargotRobbie #TheSuicideSquad pic.twitter.com/Hgb6UaWHYL

The background is all red and features Robbie with a flowery background. Another standout is Viola Davis, giving a serious side-eye amidst a red background surrounded by bombs.
Each poster has the saying, “Don’t get too attached,” a saying that becomes increasingly difficult for fans to follow as they find themselves back in the world of The Suicide Squad.
No lie, @violadavis is so scary as Amanda Waller I was afraid to give her acting notes on set. #TheSuicideSquad https://t.co/vOghugSqrR

the suicide squad trailer? So good. Also. One of the most unabashedly fun DC villains makes a surprise appearance in it. Which is exciting. Wonder if anyone knows who we’re referencing?
