The New ‘Proud Family’ Reboot Reveals A-List Guest Stars
Disney+ took to Twitter to announce the star-studded guest lineup for the 2022 reboot of The Proud Family.
The streaming service announced that the revival would consist of celebrities such as Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Normani, and many other notable names.

The series reboot will pick up where the original left off as the Proud family navigates their daily lives as a Black family in America. As anticipated, the reboot will feature older versions of the main characters.
Kyla Pratt will reprise her role as the original voice of the main character Penny Proud. Tommy Davidson (Oscar Proud), Jo Marie Payton (Suga Mama), and Paula Jai Parker (Trudy Proud) will also be reprising their roles from the original series.
Although the animated series only ran for two seasons from 2001 through 2005, it impacted today’s culture significantly. In a video featurette, Keke palmer, Kaya Pratt, Gabrielle Union, and Lena Waithe discuss the 2001 animated series and the lasting impact it has left.

The Proud Family revival, titled The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, will hit screens on Disney’s streaming service Disney+ in 2022.
