Emily in Paris Scores Two New Seasons
Netflix has announced that Emily in Paris will be getting two more seasons. The announcement was posted on the show’s Instagram account captioned, “Say ‘bonjour’ to 3 & 4! EMILY IS OFFICIALLY RETURNING FOR TWO MORE SEASONS!”
The second season premiered last month on the 22, ending on a cliffhanger. Emily’s boss, Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) offers a new job to Emily over the phone stating, “You’d have to stay in Paris for longer than you planned.” A release date for seasons 3 and 4 is currently unknown. However, Lily Collins, who plays Emily herself, expressed her desire for a new season in a previous interview with People.

“I would love the opportunity to get to do a season 3. I myself don’t know her choice yet. I keep asking. But whatever choice it is you know it will be filled with drama, fashion, and a lot of fun and romance. I am down for whatever decision comes my way if we get to do it.”

The second season wrapped up with Emily facing problems in her personal life battling her feelings for two men. Her boyfriend, Alfie (Lucian Laviscount), plans to move back to London and wants to try a long-distance relationship. Emily decides to confess her feelings for Gabriel (Lucas Bravo). Before she’s able to, Gabriel’s ex, Camille (Camille Razat) tells Emily that she and Gabriel are getting back together and will be living together. This leads to Emily calling Sylvie, “Hi Sylvie, it’s me. I’ve made my decision.”

Emily in Paris’ showrunner, Darren Star gave a little snippet to TVLine of what season 3 will entail.
“She’s faced with a major decision. She has reasons to pick a number of doors at the end of Season 2, and our challenge is deciding which of those doors she’s going to choose and why. That’s what Season 3 is going to be about. When you live in a foreign country, one of the questions is, where’s your heart? Is it the place you came from, or the place you are at the moment? Emily is going to be struggling with that as well.”
Season 3’s airdate is currently unknown. In the meantime, fans can stream seasons 1 and 2 of Emily in Paris on Netflix.
