Nominations for the 94th Academy Awards Announced

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has released the nomination list for the 94th Academy Awards. The nominees were announced by Girlfriend actor Tracee Ellis Ross and Will & Grace actor Leslie Jordan. The nominations were announced everywhere from the Oscar website to the Academy Awards social media pages. Girlfriend actor Tracee Ellis Ross and Will & Grace actor Leslie Jones had a chance to get in on the action.

Some nominated films include The Power of the Dog, The Tragedy of Macbeth, West Side Story, Dune, and King Richard. Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell are up for an award in the original song category for their song “No Time To Die” featured in the new James Bond movie sharing the same title. Both Encanto and Raya and the Last Dragon are nominated for the best-animated feature film. Several actors are up for nominations, including Will Smith, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kristen Stewart, Denzel Washington, and Andrew Garfield.

Will Smith expressed his excitement via Instagram.

The 94th Academy Award will air on March 27 on ABC Live, the red carpet premiere will start at 6:30 p.m. ET/ 3:30 p.m. PT, and the ceremony will begin at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT. The complete list of categories and their nominees is available down below.
