A New Hero Is Coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Ms. Marvel
A new hero is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Ms. Marvel. Disney released a trailer for the series, and we cannot help but get excited.
The identity behind Ms. Marvel lies Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), a normal Muslim-American teenager raised in New Jersey. Her day consists of playing video games, reading fan fiction, and idolizing heroes, especially Captain Marvel.
Based on the trailer, it is apparent that Khan obtains her powers from a family heirloom, bangles, that she wears on her wrist. However, once she receives her powers, she struggles to balance a normal life with her newfound abilities.
“It’s not really the brown girls from Jersey City who save the world.”
