Barbie Ferreira Stars in New Ambitious Project House of Spoils
Barbie Ferreira has joined forces with Ariana DeBose for the new psychological thriller, House of Spoils. It is produced by Amazon Prime Video and Blumhouse Television with directors Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy.
After actress Barbie Ferreira (Unpregnant) penned a very “teary-eyed goodbye” to the role of Katherine Hernandez on HBO’s Euphoria, fans were saddened by the shocking exit. She took to her Instagram story alongside artwork by her former co-star, Hunter Schafer, writing, “After four years of getting to embody the most special and enigmatic character Kat, I’m having to say a very teary-eyed goodbye. I hope many of you could see yourself in her like I did and that she brought you joy to see her journey into the character she is today. I put all my care and love into her and I hope you guys could feel it. Love you, Katherine Hernandez.” However, things are looking up, as she already has her next project secured: House of Spoils.

Ferreira is starring alongside Academy Award-winning actress Ariana DeBose, known for her role as Anita in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story remake. The part also won her a BAFTA, Critics Choice Award, SAG, and Golden Globe. DeBose can also be found in season 4 of Westworld.
House of Spoils follows an “ambitious chef (DeBose) who opens her first restaurant, a farm-to-table affair on a remote estate, where she battles kitchen chaos, a dubious investor, crushing self-doubts … and the powerful spirit of the estate’s previous owner, who threatens to sabotage her at every turn.”
As for Ferreira’s role in the film, her character is described as “a hopeful but sharp-tongued sous chef.” Her character’s plot details have not been revealed at this time.
Here at Glitter, we are excited about this collaboration. House of Spoils is slated to begin production this fall. In the meantime, fans can stream both Euphoria and West Side Story on HBO Max.
