In addition to the exciting list of presenters, this year’s SAG Awards boasted an impressive list of nominees that featured all of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Coming off of his Golden Globe and BAFTA wins, Austin Butler was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for Elvis. Butler was in good company, with Brendan Fraser, Colin Farrell, Bill Nighy, and Adam Sandler nominated as well.

Also in the Motion Picture category, Viola Davis was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for The Woman King. This comes amidst controversy surrounding the blockbuster film’s complete shutout from the Oscars. In addition to Davis, Cate Blanchett, Ana de Armas, Danielle Deadwyler, and Michelle Yeoh were also nominated in this category.

The nominees for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series were Jennifer Coolidge, Elizabeth Debicki, Julia Garner, Laura Linney, and Zendaya.

For outstanding performances by both male and female actors in a comedy series, some of the nominees included Bill Hader, Steve Martin, Jeremy Allen White, Quinta Brunson, Jenna Ortega, and Christina Applegate.

With many other award categories and extraordinary nominees, people were excited to see their favorite stars all in one room.

The new presenters added to the program were a welcomed update to what was undoubtedly another entertaining night in Hollywood.
