A New Chapter: Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson Welcome First Child
Keke Palmer is officially a part of the “Cool Mom Club.” The Nope actress welcomed her first child with boyfriend, Darius Jackson on Saturday.
Congratulations are in order. The new mom shared the exciting news Monday on Instagram, along with photos of the couple and their newborn. “Hey Son!!!!,” Palmer wrote in her caption, “Born during Black History Month, with a name to match!” Forty-eight hours into parenthood, Palmer took to Instagram to give fans a first look at her beautiful baby boy, Leodis Andrellton Jackson.
Darius Jackson, brother of Insecure star Sarunas Jackson, also uploaded a few photos of baby Leo along with a short clip of the new family of three leaving the hospital for the first time. Family, friends, and fans congratulated the couple.
Celebrities including Jhene Aiko, Halle Bailey, Taraji P. Henson, and more celebrated the news on social media.

The Hustlers star revealed her pregnancy in December during her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live. ”People have been in my comments, saying ‘Keke’s having a baby. Keke’s pregnant.’ And I want to set the record straight. I am,” She continued, “I mean, like, I was trying so hard to keep it on the down low, cause I got a lot of stuff going on, you know? But honestly, this has been the biggest blessing, and I am so excited. Guys, I’m going to be a mom.” Since then, Palmer has been very open about her pregnancy journey online with her fans.

Palmer and Jackson announced their relationship with each other on Instagram in August 2021. Palmer had successfully kept her relationship with Jackson under wraps but did reveal some details in November 2021 on The Tamron Hall Show.
“It became more difficult to hide,” She comments, discussing her decision to finally make things Instagram official with Jackson. Palmer adds, “We spend all this time together, and he really is my closest friend, so it just becomes a thing where I’m not gonna hide something that makes me happy.”
