Selena Gomez Set to Release New Single ‘Single Soon’
Only Murders in the Building actress Selena Gomez announces her upcoming single, “Single Soon,” set to release August 25.
Selena Gomez has announced the release of the single this morning on her social media platforms, captioned: “Y’all have been asking for new music for a while. Since I’m not done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of the summer. SINGLE SOON. August 25th. Presave it now.” The message ended with a kiss face emoji and a link to pre-save the single.

Fans are excited that she’s releasing new music after collaborating with Rema on single “Calm Down” in 2022. Gomez hasn’t released any new music due to shifting some of her focus to acting and her beauty brand, Rare Beauty.

Fans seem understanding about waiting a little longer for SG3, an album that is “not quite done,” according to the Only Murders in the Building actress. However, they can’t help looking for hints on newly released photos that came along with the “Single Soon” announcement, asking themselves what could be on the SG3 album.

In addition to this, Gomez teased “powerful, empowering” and “really happy” music on the way to Variety on the red carpet, after receiving the Hitmakers Film Song of the Year award for her single “My Mind and Me” in 2022.
The actress also seemed very excited when she was describing the music she was working on to Variety. “I am so happy, and you’re going to be so happy when you hear the music, I promise,” Gomez said. “I want everyone to feel good when they hear the new record.”
