A New Heroes Reboot May Be Coming
Screenwriter and producer Tim Kring is working on creating a second reboot for the 2006 drama Heroes. Titled Heroes: Eclipsed, the sequel brings back familiar elements while introducing new storylines.
In an article from April 10, Deadline reports that Kring already wrote a reboot for the popular superhero drama called Heroes: Eclipsed. They reveal that the creators are currently pitching the series to buyers.
Taking place years after the events of the original series, Heroes: Eclipsed features “familiar villains and new enemies who once again will be attempting to suppress this next step in human evolution.” According to Deadline, as new evos discover their powers, they must work to save the world.
The announcement of the sequel comes ironically close to the real-life solar eclipse that occurred in the United States on April 8. Prominently showcased in the drama’s introduction, solar eclipses become an essential part of the original 2006 series.
The eclipse reminds some long-time fans of the program, with many taking to social media to share their thoughts.

However, Heroes: Eclipsed is not the only attempt to bring back the iconic series. It was revived previously in a 2015 limited series titled Heroes: Reborn.
The former reboot also takes place after the original program and similarly follows a new group of evos discovering their powers. It features appearances by many beloved characters, including Jack Coleman as Noah Bennet, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Mohinder Suresh, Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura, and Greg Grunberg as Matt Parkman.
It is unknown yet if any former cast members will appear in the new series as the program is still in early development.
Until there is further news about the reboot, fans can watch the original series on Peacock. They can also stream Heroes: Reborn on Apple TV.
