Although Jimin is currently on hiatus from boy band BTS and serving his mandatory Korean military service, his single, “WHO,” is achieving remarkable success worldwide.

The track reached number one on iTunes in over 100 countries and has now taken the throne as the top track on the Spotify Global Charts with nearly 10 million streams. It is safe to say that Jimin is continuing his streak of setting the bar high in terms of excellence for BTS solo projects.

The singer made history when he became the first South Korean soloist to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with his hit song, “Like Crazy,” from his EP, FACE.

Jimin released his second studio album, MUSE, under Big Hit Entertainment on July 19. “WHOis the project’s lead single and leaves one with a sense of yearning. The album itself is layered with introspective lyrics that encapsulate the experience of searching for love and inspiration.

When announced by the record label this June, the album was set to showcase his “expanded musical spectrum.” It stands short with just seven songs and a 20-minute duration, but it is nonetheless impactful. And the fans are showing it.

Aside from this buzzing musical success, Jimin also landed a travel reality TV program alongside fellow BTS star Jungkook. It will air exclusively on Disney +. The series, which has already been filmed, follows the pair as they travel to three unique destinations. According to a press release, the show will “give a deeper look into Jimin and Jung Kook’s … endearing friendship as they bond over a variety of unforgettable moments throughout the trip immersing in different cultures, exploring various action-packed activities, and trying out local cuisines.”

Recently, Jimin appeared as a musical guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and sang “WHO.” Check out the performance below.
