Netflix Releases Trailer for New Documentary ‘Biggie: I Got A Story To Tell’

Netflix will release a new documentary, Biggie: I Got A Story To Tell, in honor of The Notorious B.I.G on March 1. 

Netflix released a trailer on Monday, February 15 for the unreleased documentary, Biggie: I Got A Story To Tell. The film was executive produced by his manager, Wayne Barrow, the rap legend’s mother, Violetta Wallace, and Sean Combs (P-Diddy).

The emotional documentary will cover the short yet iconic life of the rapper, Biggie Smalls, whose real name was Christopher Wallace from Brooklyn, New York. The film starts with his journey to stardom, following through the life he lived up until he was fatally shot in 1997 at the young age of 24, which left his loved ones and fans in disbelief.

The trailer for the upcoming film was posted to Youtube on February 15. Featured in the trailer were interviews from Biggie’s closest friends and family such as Faith Evans, Lil Cease, and more. The documentary will give a closer look into Biggie’s life and show a personal side of the rapper’s life that the world has yet to see.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Barrow expressed his excitement for the upcoming film as he stated, “Mama Wallace and I had a conversation about creating the first Estate sanctioned documentary about BIG’s life and the initial thought was to have the story told from the perspective of his fans globally and how they were inspired by him and his music”.

Since the news of the upcoming documentary, fans have expressed how excited they are to get a closer look at the life the rap icons life.

After four years in the making, the documentary is sure to be a cannot-miss event, so set your calendars for March 1 when Biggie: I Got A Story To Tell releases exclusively on Netflix.
