Beyoncé made history as the most-awarded Grammy artist with 32, landing numerous awards last night taking her over the historic edge. Host Trevor Noah, who was actually quite funny throughout the night, personally walked an award over to the Renaissance artist’s table to personally deliver the award on camera. Harry Styles brought home the award for Album of the Year and Lizzo won Record of the Year for “About D*mn Time.”

Beyoncé also took home wins for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album, Best R&B Song for “Cuff It,” Best Traditional R&B Performance, and Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “Break My Soul.” Viola Davis also became an EGOT for her Grammy win for Finding Me as she took home Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording.

There was a special tribute to 50 years of hip hop, which had artists performing a medley of hits which spanned decades including legends like Queen Latifah, Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, Too Short, Grandmaster Flash, and Run-DMC and newcomers like Lil Baby, GloRilla, and Lil Uzi Vert.

The night was a glamorous lineup of fashion as even Jill Biden who presented rolled up in a floor-length silver mosaic gown. Other artists like Beyoncé, Cardi B, and Lizzo opted for metallics while Adele wore a beautiful burgundy gown. Kacy Musgraves showed out in a feather lavender dress and floor-length jacket.

If you thought the Grammys came out unscathed without controversy you’d be wrong. Harry Styles made a comment about Album of the Year not happening to “people like him,” which made fans of other nominees side-eye and question what he meant by that, as white men have been winning awards since… forever. Some speculate he was referring to his meager upbringing but others pointed out the tone deafness on a very privileged statement.

A Black woman hasn’t won AOTY since 1999, Lauryn Hill won for The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, which has Beyoncé fans feeling like she was robbed. The narrative is that Black women have to give 1000% and still not walk away with the award. Others also felt that the voting was skewed if Beyoncé could rack up so many awards and never receive AOTY. The only other two Black women to win include Whitney Houston and Natalie Cole.

But keep in mind Mariah Carey has only won 5 Grammys in her lifetime and she’s not pressed as she’s been very vocal about just not caring about this particular awards show.

To add to the drama, Ben Affleck was caught on camera looking less than entertained with the show and fans pointed out he looked bored and tired. He and J.Lo also shared an interaction caught on camera that some interpreted as a lover’s spat, but it’s all speculation. They looked cute though.

Lots of fans also questioned Dr. Dre being honored with the Global Impact Award for his history of abuse towards women. We also have questions.

Lastly, tons of fans had a lot to say about Madonna and her distinctly different facial features as she introduced Sam Smith’s performance, but nothing noted as yet on how any of the men who attended looked in regard to size, shape, age, and hair, or lack thereof. Keep us posted. Read on to see the full list of winners below.
