Beabadoobee Teases New Summer Tune, ‘Take A Bite’
After several hints on her Instagram, Beabadoobee has revealed her newest single, “Take A Bite,” will be released on May 9.
Beabadoobee is finally back again releasing new music after almost a year since her last venture. Her hit single “The Way Things Go” was released July 11, 2023, holding fans over until “Take A Bite,” and a new album.
Yup, you heard that right. Besides a brand new single, the Filipino-English singer also revealed a new album is coming this summer, in addition to a few appearances at festivals down the road.
First, Beabadoobee released a snippet of “Take A Bite” on her Instagram. In the video she posted to her Instagram page, the singer can be seen walking and lip-syncing the lyrics at night as the camera spins around her.
While the snippet was only a few seconds, Beabadoobee was able to give fans a small “bite” of the song, which already sounds like the song of the summer. With more of an early 2000s vibe and mellow, upbeat instrumentals, the song is perfect to play when relaxing poolside.
Next, the singer also revealed she will be one of the headliners at All Points East UK, along with Mitski and Ethel Cain. The festival is set for Sunday, August 18, and will occur at Victoria Park, the most visited green space in London.
In the same post, the singer commented, “Guys also ‘deep’ my album is gonna be out by then so I’m gonna be playing so much new music,” with several crying face emojis at the end. While the comment was very cryptic, the singer did reveal the most important part, the name of her newest album.
Deep will be her third studio album nearly two years after the release of her second studio album, Beatopia. Unfortunately, we do not have any more information regarding track titles, how long the album will be, or what the overall theme of the album will be. Hopefully, the singer will release or tease more details about the upcoming album once “Take A Bite” releases on May 9.
