The FCC may have voted to repeal these laws but there is still some hope.

On Thursday, the Federal Communications Commission voted to repeal the net neutrality regulations. But you cannot give up this fight. The repeal is technically not set in stone. The repeal could be overturned in court or by Congress. So what can you do if you are not happy with this repeal? Keep calling your representatives in Congress.

Democratic Senator Ed Markey is already working on a legislation to overturn the FCC’s decision. He tweeted: “I plan to introduce a Congressional Review Act resolution that would restore the Open Internet Order and reverse the @FCC’s historic mistake of repealing #NetNeutrality.”

Congress has 60 days to act once the rule is submitted. To enact a resolution, the Senate will have to simply have a majority vote. The President has the power to veto but he has already stated that he supports the repeal.

Without net neutrality, the internet will now be for the elite. There may be fees to access some of your favorite non mainstream websites.
