On Friday, August 21, Black Pink and Selena Gomez took to social media to unveil the title of their new and highly anticipated single, “Ice Cream.”

By the looks of their teaser posters, the song is sure to make us melt away.

The collaboration will release on August 28, however, the merchandise is ready for fans now. With pastel-colored motifs, the artists are setting the mood for something sweet and fun.

Gomez has been doing incredible after her album Rare debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre list of Billboard back in January. Black Pink has also been making history by entering at No. 33 on the Hot 100 with songs “How You Like That” and “Sour Candy,” a collaboration with Lady Gaga.

The post surprised many fans because Grande was tagged, making many assume she also contributed behind the scenes. Grande demonstrated her support for the collaboration on her Instagram by sharing Brown’s post and adding, “proud of the squad… and so excited for this!!! So much love this team and these ladies.”

Grande, however, is not the only artist to have contributed to the single. Also tagged was singer-songwriter Victoria Monét, who has recently released her album Jaguar. Monét is also known for having worked with Brown in the past.

These small revelations have taken the excitement for the song to new heights.

Fans see this collaboration as a demonstration of woman empowerment, and having Grande and Monét be part of it is only a testament to this. We cannot wait until “Ice Cream” comes out.
