Deadline reports that Norton, Bautista, and Monae are the first new additions to the franchise. Little else is public about their roles or the plot of Knives Out 2, but production will begin this summer in Greece. Daniel Craig will be returning as ‘super sleuth’ Benoit Blanc to solve yet another mystery amongst an ensemble cast. Following the success of Knives Out in 2019, Netflix penned a $450 million deal with Craig and the film’s director to carry out a trilogy. Because of the Netflix deal, it’s unclear whether Knives Out 2 will have a theatrical release or go right to streaming.

Actor Edward Norton is known for choosing his work with caution, famously getting replaced in The Incredible Hulk for stating that he “wanted a better script.” But one thing is for sure; Knives Out 2 will be rich in drama, crime, and humor if Norton has agreed to sign on. Twitter seems to agree.

Norton has a long legacy of powerful roles onscreen. Known best starring in Fight Club and Motherless Brooklyn, he brings a sense of raw emotion to any part he plays. The Oscar-nominated actor has worked with director Wes Anderson on countless films, including Isle of Dogs and Grand Budapest Hotel. And soon, he can add Knives Out 2 to this impressive list.

Cast announcements have been made periodically within the last few days—Bautista followed by Norton and Monae a few hours later. While Knives Out 2 will not be streaming on Netflix until 2022, we can expect to see more A-listers added to this ensemble cast in the coming weeks.
