Halle Bailey Shares Her First Splash as Ariel for New Upcoming Live-Action Film ‘The Little Mermaid’
It’s official; production for the upcoming live-action film for The Little Mermaid has concluded. Leading star Halle Bailey took to Instagram to share her milestone moment with her fans by posting an image of herself in character as Ariel.
Halle Bailey recently took to Instagram and finally shared a glimpse of herself as Princess Ariel from the upcoming live-action film The Little Mermaid. In the breathtaking sunset image, Bailey appears to be wearing a mermaid tail paired with the classic bandeau top as she poses in the serene parts of the Italian coast.
Bailey followed the beautiful post with a caption where she expressed her gratefulness and excitement about the upcoming film. Without a doubt, the Instagram post alone that exuded femininity and grace was proof that the budding star was perfect for the iconic role.
The sultry queen was cast back in 2019, where she received huge amounts of praise and support from her fans and fellow celebs. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was a rocky road for production, which was delayed before resuming this summer.

The classic film remake will be directed by screen and stage director Rob Marshall who is responsible for the Mary Poppins sequel, Mary Poppins Returns. The music soundtrack will feature a plethora of original songs along with new additions written by In The Heights’ Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Additionally, the film cast that will be joining Bailey includes Jonah Hater-King as Prince Eric, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Awkwafina as Flounder, Javier Bardem as King Triton, and more.
