Over two years have passed since the release of Stranger Things 3, but the return of the Hawkins kids is finally on the horizon with a new season four trailer.

On August 6, the official Stranger Things accounts dropped a 30-second trailer for the fourth season, the clip setting the premiere for some time in 2022.

After COVID-19 halted filming in 2020 with only two episodes completed, the cast has made their way back to 1980s Hawkins, Indiana. In mid-June, images from the set made their way around Twitter and began fueling fan theories to predict what’s to come.

(Spoilers ahead) The season three finale left fans in shambles after the beloved Hawkins Chief of Police Jim Hopper sacrificed himself before their very eyes. But as the post-credit scene disclosed to viewers that an American prisoner was being protected in a Russian prison, fans began to speculate if Hopper teleported through the Mind Flayer’s portal.

When the season was on track to release in 2021, a trailer posted in February 2020 revealed that Hopper—played by Black Widow’s David Harbour—makes his triumphant return in the upcoming season.

Without a set premiere date and a trailer still leaving many questions regarding season four’s storyline, many viewers assume that the series has more up its sleeve.

With two trailers out, the number one question fans are asking now is: Where’s Mike? Wheeler is one of the main characters of the series, but in the initial round of trailers, he—along with the Byers’ family—is nowhere to be found.

Hopefully, we will see more of the Hawkins residents in another Stranger Things 4 trailer soon. Follow the Netflix series on Instagram and Twitter to be the first to see any new content.
