Halsey has been cryptically teasing new music for months now. Recently, someone shared a photo of them standing in front of Columbia Records, their new label.

At the beginning of this year, the singer posted on Instagram recounting 2023. They also gave fans a sneak peek into what this year holds for them. “2023 was the biggest rollercoaster ride of my life. I have learned a lot and I have a lot to say. Looking forward to doing so in 2024. God gave you what you can handle,” they stated in the caption.

One of the posts in the carousel included a video of them singing in a recording studio. However, they removed the sound, presumably to keep their new music a surprise.

According to WECB Radio, Halsey has discussed their new era a little further. “A lot has happened in my life since I wrote If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power. Right now I am working as I did in Manic. Without gender parameters or anything. I only do what makes me feel good.”

Conversely, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power told a different story. It was their fourth studio project. “This is a concept album about the joys and horrors of pregnancy and childbirth,” Halsey discussed with Variety. That idea is reflected in both the cover art and the tracklist.

It’s been a while since fans have received new music from the “Without Me” singer. When they began teasing a new record, people reacted with excitement. This new Halsey era will surely bring another commercial success for the artist.
