HBO to Premiere New Season of ‘Succession’ This October

Following production delays due to COVID-19, the Roys return for the third season of gripping family drama on HBO’s smash-hit Succession. Back in July, the first trailer for the upcoming season was released, teasing the Fall premiere.

Recently the network took it a step further, announcing the premiere of Season 3 for the Emmy-winning series and confirming the date for October. The news dropped exactly two years after Season 2 completed its run on HBO. There is no precise date for the new season, yet the official Twitter account posted the photo below. 

The post from August 23, shows Brian Cox portraying composed patriarch Logan Roy, looking serious in his battle against the family. Needless to say, fans were shocked. Many of them took to Twitter to express the combination of emotions they were experiencing.

As of now, it is confirmed that stars Brian Cox (Logan Roy), Jeremy Strong (Kendall Roy), Sarah Snook (Shiv Roy), Kieran Culkin (Roman Roy), Alan Ruck (Connor Roy), Nicholas Braun (Cousin Greg), Matthew Macfadyen (Tom Wambsgans) and J. Smith-Cameron (Gerri Kellman). Peter Friedman, Dagmara Dominczyk, Justine Lupe, David Rasche, Fisher Stevens, Hiam Abbass, Arian Moayed, Harriet Walter, and James Cromwell will all be returning for the third season. The powerful lineup this season will also be joined by Alexander Skarsgård of Big Little Lies, and Adrien Brody of Peaky Blinders.

The trailer released back in July shows the Roy children preparing to wage war against their father, Logan, as well as each other. It shows Kendall giving himself a pep-talk before meeting Logan following the Season 2 coup. “You are Kendall Roy. You are Kendall fucking Roy.” The scene is already set for an intense start and fans couldn’t be more thrilled. Check out the official trailer below.
