Adele appears to be dropping new music sooner than we think after she teased a new song on Twitter on October 5. The “Hello” singer excited fans with a 20-second clip on Monday. A simple caption reads “Easy on Me – October 15.” So this could only mean one thing – Adele’s new era is about to begin.

In the clip, Adele can be seen driving along a road listening to music on a cassette. Music sheets fly out of the car as the singer waves her hand from the window. It’s a subtle teaser, but it’s making a loud impact.

Adele’s post comes just days after fans began speculating her highly anticipated fourth album. Billboards reading 30 have been spotted in major cities around the world, according to US Weekly. Considering the fact that the singer turned 30 in 2018 (when she first started working on the album) that might just be a clue.

“30 tried me so hard but I’m owning it and trying my hardest to lean into it all,” Adele wrote on Instagram three years ago. “For the first time in a decade, I’m ready to feel the world around me and look up for once. 30 will be a drum n bass record to spite you.”

Her album 19 debuted in 2011. But the singer began working on it at the titular age. Soon after she released 21 and 25. Seeing as Adele turned 30 just recently, we should expect an album dedicated to love and life at that age.

Little else is known about when the album will be released, but teasing “Easy on Me” is a pretty good start. Stay up to date with Adele on Twitter in the meantime. Or read up on everything you should know about the “Rolling in the Deep” singer’s fourth studio album at US Weekly now.
