It’s a sad day for gleeks everywhere as Netflix has announced that Glee will be one of the shows leaving the streaming service at the end of November.

In a list published by Glamour, all six seasons of the musical comedy will be removed on November 30. After the news broke, fans immediately took to social media to express their devastation. The best part is that some are using scenes from the show to emphasize how they feel.

As always, Netflix releases the monthly list of all the shows and movies leaving the platform. Among the shows and movies leaving in November, all six seasons of the musical comedy will be removed on November 30. After the news broke, fans immediately took to social media to express their devastation. The irony in this? Many are using scenes from the show to emphasize how they feel.

Okay, devastated may be a bit dramatic but come on, fans flipped out when the show was accidentally removed from Netflix in 2020, so, understandably, gleeks are sad that their chaotic comfort show is no longer at the tips of their fingers.

Although the show ended in 2015, there was a massive resurgence due to the 2020 shutdown. The series gained a massive following from the newer generations, giving fans of all ages something to bond over. The resurgence also prompted projects from the show’s actors that paid tribute to Glee.

Kevin McHale (Artie Abrams) and Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina Cohen-Chang) hosted the Showmance podcast and created a Glee edition in early 2020. Additionally, Darren Criss (Blaine Anderson) hosted DEC•AID, where he shared all of his fond memories from his time on the show and raised funds for multiple vital causes.

Every once in a while, some of the show’s other actors like Heather Morris (Brittany S. Pierce) or Harry Shum Jr. (Mike Chang) will reminisce on social media, and of course, fans will take any crumbs they can get.

Although the show can be a bit questionable at times, many fans find comfort in its cliche theme of breaking the high school popularity hierarchy. Fans also applaud the show for pushing the envelope regarding heavier issues like teen pregnancy, LGBTQ+ relationships, and many others.

Over six seasons, Glee won several awards, made it to the Billboard Hot 100 numerous times, had a box office hit, went on multiple successful tours, and touched the hearts of many.

Don’t sweat the removal just yet. You still have a little over a month to watch some of the most iconic moments like Klaine’s first kiss, Santana’s rendition of “Valerie,” Rachel’s Broadway debut (and abandonment), and the most iconic song of the series, “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
