Following the overwhelming success of “Sticker,” NCT 127 is back again with “Favorite (Vampire),” the title track for their third repackaged album, Favorite. The title track, “Favorite (Vampire),” features an all-new R&B dance track with an addictive whistle sound and powerful vocals.

The song is written, composed, and arranged by Kenzie, a veteran when it comes to working with SM Entertainment and the genius song-maker behind NCT 127’s previous tracks, “Limitless,” “Punch,” and “Music, Dance.”

In the music video, the 127 members take on the roles of vampires, dramatically singing about their forbidden loves. The song and video express how their lover is the only thing that makes them truly happy even as their relationship forebodes a tragic end.

The lyrics support this love, embodying the fantasy vibe to the fullest, with lines like, “my world is shattered, and I covet you,” and “dark night, when you come with a storm.”

Before the release, the group released individual member teasers entitled “Story of Favorite,” hinting at the rousing storyline as well. Each teaser includes narration from the members, portraying the intensity of their love as they struggle with the dark secret of their vampiric nature.

Favorite includes 3 new songs added on to the existing 11 from Sticker, bringing the total for the repackaged album up to 14. Before its release, Sticker made history for the SM Entertainment boy group, getting 1 million pre-orders on the first day and charting on multiple Billboards. This repackage follows in its footsteps.

With the two versions of the album, Classic and Catharsis, NCT 127 has achieved over 1 million pre-orders yet again. Alongside this milestone, “Favorite (Vampire)” has also become the second NCT song to enter the Melon TOP10 chart, the first being “Sticker.”

In contrast to the cool charisma we were shown through “Sticker,” the music video for “Favorite (Vampire)” shows off a dark, understated sexiness to NCT 127. Check it out above.
