Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas takes audiences through the aftermath of the Season 2 finale. Zoey is still learning to balance work and her personal life. But this is the first Christmas without her father, Mitch (Peter Gallagher), which brings on her emotional baggage.

“Turns out, trying to create the perfect Mitch Christmas is harder than I imagined,” Zoey says in the trailer. “It’s tough trying to hold on so tight to some memory.”

Now, the family is separated from one another for the holidays. So Zoey makes a plan to reunite everyone and keep the traditions alive. Of course, there will be singing and an abundance of dance numbers.

“It’s going to keep getting better. I know it,” Zoey says at the end of the trailer.

The Emmy-award-winning series amassed a large fan base in just two seasons. So when the series got canceled this past August, the Roku Channel promised that we would see Zoey one more time.

Levy is joined by castmates Mary Steenburgen, Skylar Astin, Alex Newell, John Clarence Stewart, and more. “We’re back!!! Just in time for the holidays!! Call us “Santa Claus” cuz this movie DELIVERS,” Astin wrote on Twitter.

“Cozy up, make yourself a snack and get your butt on the couch,” Levy wrote on Twitter. Sounds like a good plan to us.

Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas premieres Wednesday, December 1, on the Roku Channel. In the meantime, be sure to check out the trailer above.
