Alicia Keys released her new album, KEYS, on December 10, and fans are loving it. The record features collaborations with Pusha T, Brandi Carlile, Lil Wayne, Swae Lee, Khalid, and Lucky Daye.

Keys began teasing her album in late October. She unveiled the album’s cover art on the same day. The singer poses in a kneeling position behind a royal blue background. Keys’ outfit matches the background, and she accessorizes the look with big, gold lock-shaped earrings. Her position on the album is in the shape of a keyhole, and at the bottom of the record lies a key. There are essentially two ways to “unlock” Keys’ record: Her earrings or within herself.

In her October 28 post, the singer shared some details about the album. She first revealed that KEYS would be out on December 10. She then adds that the album will consist of 2 versions: Originals and Unlocked. The Originals, according to Keys, is “that classic side, a homecoming.” The Unlocked half is included to create “a whole other sonic experience.”

KEYS is a lengthy feature, totaling a whopping 26 songs. The first 13 tracks come from the Originals, and the last 12 come from Unlocked. The track “KEYS” separates the two halves and acts as a segue to the record’s latter half.

Keys’ collaborators on the album have shared the love. Pusha T, who appears on the track “PLENTIFUL,” tells his fans that this track “begins the journey.” He thanked Keys and Swizz Beatz for bringing the two together.

Brandi Carlile, who collaborated with Keys in the past, co-wrote the emotional song “Paper Flowers.” Carlile thanks her “powerful friend” and reveals “she will always remember this day.”

Congratulations to Alicia Keys on an incredible new album. Be sure to stream KEYS on all major music platforms.
