Jhené Aiko has done it again with her latest single, “Wrap Me Up,” a dreamy track perfect to listen to on repeat this holiday season. The artist dropped the song on December 14, leaving fans wanting more.

“Wrap Me Up” is a Christmas song at heart (which is no surprise considering the name). Aiko enlists a mix of R&B-style vocals with holiday bells and a relaxing beat. It’s perfect for a snowy December day.

"Every December you'd make sure you're here/Cause there's nothing more I need/Than you here with me, no gift would be better," Aiko sings.

“Every December you’d make sure you’re here/Cause there’s nothing more I need/Than you here with me, no gift would be better,” Aiko sings.

Fans of the Stay Ready singer are already flocking to social media to share some thoughts about the track. For many, they are reminded of Ariana Grande’s mesmerizing 2020 Grammys look. Others are calling the track “a new Christmas tradition” to play on repeat each year.

Despite the new sound, “Wrap Me Up” is Aiko’s rendition of her old song by the same name. Singer James Fauntleroy was featured on this version, which streamed on SoundCloud in 2012. This time, Aiko is making the song her very own. But one thing hasn’t changed, and that’s Aiko’s approach to making music for her fans.

“[My music is] to help people get to that state of harmony within themselves,” Aiko told Rolling Stone. “That peaceful state, that calm state, so no matter what you’re going through, you can navigate more calmly, you can be more mindful of how you’re living your life. We all need that.”

For over a decade, Aiko’s music has been in the spotlight. From her first album, “Sailing Souls,” until now, her influence in the R&B-pop scene is apparent. We can’t wait to see what she does next. Be sure to check out “Wake Me Up” in the video above or stream it now.
