Disney released the first look at Obi-Wan Kenobi, starring Ewan McGregor. The latest entry into the Star Wars canon will follow former Jedi Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith.

Hayden Christensen is set to reprise his role as Darth Vader, formerly known as Anakin Skywalker. Moses Ingram, who recently starred in the Netflix hit The Queen’s Gambit, is set to star as Inquisitor Reva. Joel Edgerton also returns as Uncle Owen. The Grand Inquisitor, first introduced in Star Wars Rebels, will be hot on Obi-Wan Kenobi’s heels as he hunts down the last of the Jedi who survived the Clone Wars.

John Williams, who composed the scores for nine other Star Wars films, is returning to create the musical theme for the series. Deborah Chow, who directed the hit Disney+ Star Wars series The Mandalorian, is set to helm the show.

McGregor discussed his reprisal of the titular character, “Oh my gosh, well I loved playing him again…meeting the generation who we made those films for, the children then – and now, people in their late teens or early twenties…they loved them. To them, they’re their Star Wars films, you know? For us, it was the original films of the ‘70s, but for them, it was our films [that] were their Star Wars. So to step back into his shoes again now and do a series, a whole series about Obi-Wan Kenobi for those fans, it just makes me really happy.”

The series streams on May 25 on Disney+.
