Puss In Boots: The Last Wish New Trailer Is Here
The cat is officially out of the bag. The long-awaited sequel to 2011’s Puss In Boots is on the way. Puss In Boots: The Last Wish unveiled its first trailer on March 15.
Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek are reuniting for another Puss in Boots film. Banderas and Hayek are both reprising as our favorite catty duo, Puss and Puss’ former partner, Kitty Soft Paws. The sequel film boasts a stellar cast for the classic feline franchise. Olivia Colman (The Lost Daughter), Florence Pugh (Black Widow), Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows), Ray Wagner Moura (Narcos), Ray Winstone (Black Widow), John Mulaney (Big Mouth), Da’Vine Joy Randolph (The Lost City), Anthony Mendez (Jane the Virgin), and Samson Kayo (Our Flag Means Death), join Banderas and Hayek on this adventure.

Pugh is voicing Goldilocks (with her Three Bears Crime Family) and Guillén stars as a dog named Perro, who will act as an associate to Puss and Kitty Soft Paws.

The two-and-a-half-minute-long trailer made its debut on March 15. The trailer begins with Puss saying he is known by “many names.” He falls victim to a huge bell falling on him, where the doctor delivers the bad news: he has died. A cat is often synonymous with having nine lives, and Puss has used up eight of his. Kitty Softpaws (Hayek), tells Puss, “When you only have one life, that’s what makes it special.”

The official premise for Puss In Boots: The Last Wish reads:
“Daring outlaw Puss in Boots discovers that his passion for peril and disregard for safety have taken their toll. Puss has burned through eight of his nine lives, though he lost count along the way. Getting those lives back will send Puss in Boots on his grandest quest yet. The hero embarks on an epic journey into the Black Forest to find the mythical Wishing Star and restore his lost lives. But with only one life left, Puss will have to humble himself and ask for help from his former partner and nemesis: the captivating Kitty Soft Paws.”
