Billie Eilish Makes Her Television Debut in Disney Plus’ New Upcoming Short When Billie Met Lisa
Billie Eilish will appear in an upcoming Disney Plus short of The Simpsons entitled When Billie Met Lisa on April 22. The upcoming short will feature Eilish and her brother Finneas who hang out with Lisa Simpson in the studio.
On April 14, Eilish uploaded an Instagram story on her account revealing the official poster. The “bad guy” singer announced that she would be featured by writing, “Guest starring in @thesimpsons new short streaming April 22nd on @disneyplus.” The poster shows Lisa Simpson and a Simpson-style character of Eilish jamming out in a music studio. Lisa plays her iconic saxophone and Eilish sings into a microphone.
According to the short’s synopsis, “In When Billie Met Lisa, Lisa is discovered by chart-topping artists Billie Eilish and FINNEAS while searching for a quiet place to practice her saxophone. Billie invites Lisa to her studio for a special jam session she’ll never forget.” This will be The Simpsons fourth short to be released after the Star Wars themed short, Maggie Simpson in The Force Awakens From Its Nap.
The Simpsons doesn’t shy away from working with musical celebrities. Before Eilish’s short, The Weeknd was the latest star featured in the Springfield world. The short is entitled Bart the Cool Kid. The “Save Your Tears” singer voiced the animated character named Orion Hughes. Hughes is a child influencer who owns a skateboard brand and befriends Bart Simpson.
Fans are showing their support for the new upcoming short of Billie in The Simpsons. We’re excited to see what Lisa and Billie will do together in the newest episode. The release lines up perfectly with Eilish’s performance at the 2022 Coachella festival.
