Kate Winslet will return to HBO in Trust as an actress and executive producer. The limited series is based on Hernan Diaz’s 2022 novel of the same name.

The novel follows a 20th-century Wall Street tycoon, his wife, and the ghostwriter who tells their story. The book is written in four different voices and four different genres. It was published in May by Riverhead Books.

Diaz will also work as an executive producer on the show.

Winslet previously played the lead in HBO’s Mare of Easttown for which she won Outstanding Lead Actress at the 73rd Emmy Awards. Winslet also acted in HBO’s miniseries Mildred Pierce in 2011. Winslet is best known for her film roles in Titanic, Sense and Sensibilities, Iris, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Fans shared their excitement over Winslet’s next project on Twitter.

One tweeted, “KATE WINSLET DOING ANOTHER HBO MINISERIES, ONE TINY BIT OF GOOD NEWS!!!!! A DROP OF WATER IN THE G****MN DESERT”

“I TRUST #KateWinslet to do another amazing job with this as an actress and as an executive producer,” another fan shared.

HBO acquired the rights to the book in a “competitive situation,” according to Deadline. The series is in development and currently in the process of finding a writer to adopt the book for the screen.

Here at Glitter, we cannot wait to see what this series will hold and watch Winslet star for HBO again. If you wish to prepare for The Rust series, you can find the book here.
