Nominations for This Year’s HCA TV Awards: Broadcast Network & Cable Are Here

On Thursday, July 7, the Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) announced its list of nominees for the 2nd Annual HCA TV Awards: Broadcast Network & Cable.

On Thursday, July 7, the Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) announced its list of nominees for the 2nd Annual HCA TV Awards: Broadcast Network & Cable. 

Nominations were announced by Virgin River’s Alexandra Breckenridge, 9-1-1: Lone Star’s Ronen Rubinstein, and The Wild’s Reign Edwards; as well as HCA members Jami Philbrick and Yong Chavez on the HCA’s YouTube channel. 

The HCA TV Awards will take place in a span of two nights at The Beverly Hilton. The Broadcast Network & Cable edition will take place on Saturday, August 13, while the Streaming edition will take place on Sunday, August 14. Nominations for the HTA TV Awards: Streaming were announced later in the afternoon. 

The final season of NBC’s This Is Us received a total of 12 nominations, including Best Broadcast Network Drama Series, Best Writing, and Best Directing.

HBO’s Succession scored a total of 11 nominations from the HCA. J. Smith-Cameron, who plays Gerri Kellman on the show and was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama, tweeted her appreciation for HCA’s nomination.

The anthology series The White Lotus and Bill Hader’s Barry both earned a total of nine nominations each. 

Established in 2016, the Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) is a diverse and passionate group of critics and entertainment journalists whose mission is to represent the different voices of Hollywood.
