New Photo From Zac Efron Proves That Once a Wildcat, Always a Wildcat
Could this be the start of something new? Zac Efron took a trip to his on-screen alma mater, East High, where he posed for a photo that has fans freaking out.
In a recent Instagram post, the High School Musical actor stood in front of the East High banner and captioned the photo with the classic Breakfast Club quote, “Don’t you… Forget about me ✊🏼” Within hours, the photo gained millions of likes and comments from fans and castmates. Some left comments quoting Efron’s iconic HSM songs, like the comment that read, “Oh you can bet on it.”
Of course, Efron had the support of his on-screen father and basketball coach Bart Johnson as he commented, “Warms coaches ole heart to see this. Welcome home, son. WHAT TEAM!? 🏀🐾” Sound familiar? Remember, sometime last month, Vanessa Hudgens also posted a subtle tribute to the film at the high school.

While this could be a coincidence, it wouldn’t be a longshot if something new was in the works as Corbin Bleu will appear on this season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Lucas Grabeel appeared in season one, and Ashley Tisdale consistently pays homage to the film on social media.

Not to mention, Efron did express some interest in reuniting with his castmates. In an interview with E!, he stated, “My heart’s still there, so that would be incredible. I hope it happens.” We’re in the age of a Jonas Brothers reunion, Bennifer’s marriage, and Lindsay Lohan is set to star in a Netflix film; who’s to say that an original High School Musical reboot is far-fetched?
