Barbie Ferreira announced that she would not return to Euphoria for its third season. The actress who performed the role of Kat Hernandez took to Instagram to break the news.
Ferreira’s character Kat quickly became a fan favorite during season 1 of the. Fans grew to love how relatable her character was and enjoyed watching her journey of self-love and body positivity.
Sadly, Ferreira posted a brief but emotional message on her Instagram story reflecting on her experience with the series and her decision to leave. She wrote, “After four years of getting to embody the most special and enigmatic character Kat, I’m having to say a very teary-eyed goodbye.”
In the post, she continues to reflect on her time portraying her character and the impact that she hopes was made, “I hope many of you could see yourself in her like I did and that she brought you joy to see her journey into the character she is today. I put all my care and love into her, and I hope you guys could feel it. Love you, Katherine Hernandez.”
