Keke Palmer to Host SNL With Special Musical Guest SZA

Fred Duval

Keke Palmer will bring in the return of SNL as a host after a brief hiatus. Fan-favorite artist SZA will take the stage as the musical guest for this episode.

As a singer, actress, and seasoned host, Keke Palmer is no stranger to taking center stage. She previously hosted Vogue’s 2021 Met Gala live stream, NBC’s game show Password, and many more.

On December 3, she lends her hosting talents to SNL for its return episode. Palmer happily broke this news via Instagram.

The legendary show will take a couple of weeks off after the most recent episode hosted by comedian Dave Chapelle. This episode brought a bit of controversy, with Chapelle receiving pushback for some of his comments, specifically in his 15-minute monologue. However, a hiatus is typically part of the SNL‘s episode release style and is unrelated to the controversy. Thankfully, the night ended well with a performance featuring the Brooklyn rap duo Black Star, Talib Kweli, and Mos Def as the night’s musical guests. Megan Thee Stallion, Jack Harlow, Amy Schumer, Brendan Gleeson, and Miles Teller have all hosted this season.

Upon its return, we will see Palmer’s bright personality shine alongside the hilarious SNL show cast and a guest performance from SZA. The performance features “Shirt” and is rumored to feature the unreleased song “PSA” alongside album release information. Speculations of a December release date continue to rise as SZA drops easter eggs hinting at December being significant. The fact that this performance is set for December also heightens the anticipation of this news.

Although these are merely theories, fans believe this performance will follow with an answer to their prayers. The only sure way to find out what surprises are in store is to tune in to KeKe Palmer and SZA’s episode when it airs on NBC.
