Searchlight Pictures’ New Film The Supremes At Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat Is Coming to Theaters
The 2013 adaptation of The New York Times best-selling novel The Supremes At Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat is being produced by Searchlight Pictures. The film stars King Richard actress, Aunjanue Ellis.
Searchlight Pictures is known for many popular films, such as Black Swan, Nomadland, and The Shape of Water. Now, this renowned studio is taking a new film under its wing. The Supremes At Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat is set to be filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina. Not only is the best-selling book by Edward Kelsey Moore going to become a movie, but the cast is stellar.

In the new film drama, the main cast will be consisting of three Black actresses: Uzo Aduba (Mrs. America), Aunjanue Ellis (King Richard), and Sanaa Lathan (Succession). These three fabulous actresses are starring as “The Supremes” who have grown up together in a small town in Indiana. But, when conflict arises, their friendship is put to the test. At this point, it is not disclosed yet which actress is playing what character.

It was also just announced that Mekhi Phifer (Love, Victor), Dijon Means (P-Valley), Xavier Mills (Legacies), Ryan Paynter (Echoes), and Cleveland Berto (Terminator: Dark Fate) will be part of the cast. These actors are a great addition to the phenomenal acclaimed actresses.
The film features an all Black cast, including the film’s director, Tina Mabry (Queen of the South). This is very exciting because we are finally going to be seeing more diversity in the film industry.
