How I Met Your Father Will Return Better Than Ever
Hulu finally announced that How I Met Your Father will return for a second season. Season two will be released on Hulu on January 24 and consist of 20 brand-new episodes.
If you have not seen season one of How I Met Your Father, it is a spinoff of the infamous show How I Met Your Mother. How I Met Your Father follows a similar premise to the original with its storytelling and flashbacks. However, How I Met Your Father begins in the year 2050. The main character, Sophie, tells her son the story of how she met his father and the events that ensued beyond that. Then, her story takes the audience back to the year 2022. Sophie and her friends are learning how to navigate through the ups and downs of life and, most importantly, how to find love.
Hilary Duff (Younger) stars as Sophie. Her fellow costars include Christopher Lowell (Promising Young Women) as Jesse, Francia Raisa (Grown-ish) as Valentina, Tom Ainsley (Versailles) as Charlie, Tien Tran (Candyman) as Ellen, and Suraj Sharma (Happy Death Day 2U) as Sid.
Season two will also bring in some recurring stars, such as Josh Peck (Drake & Josh), Kim Cattrall (Sex and the City), Daniel Augustin (Wu-Tang: An American Saga), and Ashley Reyes (American Gods).

In an interview with TODAY, Duff shared her hopes for the show: “My selfish hope for Sophie is that she gets a little more career-driven this season. Maybe her photographs start to be spotted in a few more galleries, and she builds confidence in that area of her life.”
Although the trailer for the second season has not yet been released, we couldn’t be more excited to start the new year by catching up on the first season of How I Met Your Father, which is available to stream on Hulu.
