Even though spring just started, summer is right around the corner. Or is it that 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) is around the corner? The pop-rock band is gearing up for a big world tour and an exciting new live album.

On April 6, 5SOS announced that they would be going on tour this summer. The tour will be called “The 5 Seconds of Summer Show.” The band will play concerts in North America, South America, and Europe throughout the summer. While there are no South American dates at this time, many 5SOS fans are already marking their calendars. The tour will open at the Mohegan Sun in Montville, Connecticut, on June 10. After spending most of the summer in the Americas, the band will then embark on the European leg of the tour in late September, starting with Lisbon, Portugal. After the tour, 5SOS will perform two shows at the When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas in late October.

Tickets for the tour officially go on general sale on April 14 at 10 a.m. local time. There will also be some presale opportunities for the super fans. All official presales will start on the Tuesday before the general sale, mostly through LiveNation and Ticketmaster. For U.K. dates, if you pre-order their new album, you can purchase tickets on April 12. Fans can also pay extra for an exclusive VIP package, which may include a small Q&A at sound check, access to an exclusive lounge, early access to merchandise, and more. This will create the ultimate fan experience, and those tickets will sell fast.

In addition to the upcoming tour, 5SOS is releasing a new concert album. This album is from a previous concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The concert was in 2022 and was a one-night-only concert. The album is called The Feeling of Falling Upwards. The album has its digital release on the same day that tour tickets go on sale, April 14; furthermore, the physical version of the album will come out on July 14. The album will include a variety of songs from their catalog. The band also will also be backed by a 12-piece orchestra and a 12-member gospel choir. This unique new album will help tide fans over until the tour starts.

“The 5 Seconds of Summer Show” will be the band’s fifth headlining world tour. Their first one, “Rock Out With Your Socks Out Tour,” was released in 2015. Their most recent one, “Take My Hand World Tour,” was released in 2022. In total, the band has been on 13 tours, whether as a headliner or as a supporting act. The Feeling of Falling Upwards is the band’s third album recorded live, following LiveSOS, released in 2014, and Meet You There Tour Live, released in 2018. It will be their eighth album overall. While there will not be brand new songs coming with the tour and album, 2023 is bringing some wonderful new 5SOS entertainment.

While the Australian quartet formed in 2011, they have been in the spotlight since 2014. They gained prominence with their hit song “She Looks So Perfect,” which came out in February 2014. The song went double platinum in the U.S. and made it to 24 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their self-titled debut album came out that June and made it to number one on the Billboard 200. Then they repeated this success with their second album, Sounds Good Feels Good. The band has sold over 10 million albums, and their songs have over seven billion streams. 5SOS’s sound has grown a lot over the years, and fans all over the world are dancing to their tunes.

Fans started buzzing about this tour ever since the official announcement. Even before the reveal, many people suspected that something big was happening. The band has a loyal following, and this excitement will only get bigger once tickets go on sale and the album comes out. Unfortunately, there have been problems lately with Ticketmaster and fans trying to buy tickets for concerts, as it is a very crowded system cluttered with bots. Hopefully, the problem will not happen this time, so this tour can go off without a hitch.
