Barbie Behind-The-Scene Details Revealed in New Picture
In new pictures by Rob Harris and an interview shared by Ariana Greenblatt, audiences have a chance to see a backstage look into the production of the upcoming live-action Barbie film.
Up-and-coming photographer Rob Harris, shared new pictures of the Barbie movie in a since-deleted Instagram post. The photo showed Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, and director Greta Gerwig in what appeared to be a photo shoot or a behind-the-scenes shot of the film’s production.

Robbie and Gosling appear to be replicating their plastic-fantastic fantasies with their doll-like poses. Their outfits have also been seen in the official trailer, causing further questions to arise about the plot of the film, which some have pointed out to be intentionally vague.
Whatever direction the film ends up taking, the movie has caused undeniable hype despite its vagueness. Backstage looks into the film are only building excitement as the premiere date inches closer.
In a recent Elle Magazine interview, 15-year-old actress Ariana Greenblatt shared her experiences on the set of Barbie. She mentioned the kindness and charisma of Robbie, who treated her fellow actress to a lunch of matcha lattes and sushi during a lunch break on set. There, they chatted about Frank Ocean and Lana Del Rey, which Greenblatt described as a “core memory” for her.
“That was just such a special moment for me that I’ll never forget because, keep in mind, we were doing this, but she was also watching trailers for movies that haven’t even come out yet…and then giving notes, and then she’s doing six things at once,” Greenblatt told Elle.
Greenblatt has starred in Disney’s Stuck in the Middle alongside Wednesday star Jenna Ortega. She has also appeared in Avengers: Infinity War and In the Heights. However, her role as Sasha, a human, in the upcoming Barbie movie may be her biggest role yet, making her experience with Robbie even more memorable. She stuns in her own Barbie poster, which quickly became an iconic overnight sensation that sparked even more Barbie hype.
Overall, the unsurprising graciousness of Robbie and her fellow cast and crewmates merely proves that Barbie is a movie worth watching, if even just for the fantastic talent that is clearly present within its production. Barbie is set to premiere in theaters on July 21.
