Mother’s Day Mom-A-Thon with Haven and Vinita in New Special
Just in time for Mother’s Day, Vinita Khilnani and Haven Everly host a brand new variety show entitled Mother’s Day Mom-A-Thon with Haven and Vinita celebrating motherhood from a uniquely Asian perspective.
Vinita Khilnani and Haven Everly host Always Funny’s new Mother’s Day two-hour variety show. The show also follows a variety show format full of sketches, jokes, and conversations. The special is inspired by the fun and quirky characters on Khilnani and Everly’s TikTok, and alongside its laugh-worthy content, also features discussions on motherhood, cultural expectations, and Asian American experiences. Described in a press release as a “love-letter to moms everywhere,” Mother’s Day Mom-A-Thon with Haven and Vinita will highlight their experiences as Asian-American mothers. Though it may be deeply funny, at its core, the show demonstrates a deep love for motherhood and Asian heritage.

The show is executively produced by Gabe Evans and Katrina Casmer. “Haven and Vinita are infectiously funny, and we immediately saw how their comedy and joy were a perfect fit for our channel,” Evans stated in a press release.
Khilnani is an actor, comedian, improviser, and holds the title of Miss India North America 2018. After being crowned, she uses her platform to spread love and encouragement to young Asian Americans. “It’s a blessing to see these girls get better, because many of them have had it rough. It makes me feel good to know that I’m making a difference in someone’s life,” she told Urban Asian after being crowned. Though she is an actress, she also devotes her time to academics and studying through her recipiency of the Groundlings Diversity Scholarship, where she studies now.
Everly is an actress and singer best known for her role as GiGi in Netflix’s You and Tatiana in The L Word. She will also star as Christine in The Girl Who Left Home, to be released on Amazon Prime and Apple Plus on May 30. She has also released her first single, “Raised by Wolves,” which is streaming on all platforms. Similarly, she aims to inspire women just like her best friend, Khilnani.
Finally, throughout Mother’s Day Mom-A-Thon with Haven and Vinita, the two mothers will share their perspectives on motherhood and review old UGC home videos. Best-friend comedians Khilnani and Everly hilariously recount their experiences growing up as Asian-American women. The show’s conversations and sketches are podcast-inspired and pay a delighting homage to mothers worldwide. SoJanelleTV promoted the show alongside Everly in an Instagram post highlighting both talented women. Though the women may make hilarious content, they still bring it back to their roots.
The show premiered streams on the “Always Funny Videos” Channel on many services, including Tubi, LG, Sling TV, The Roku Channel, Samsung TV Plus, Pluto TV, Freevee, Vizio Watch Free+, Plex, and STIRR. The show premiered on May 1 and has a two-week run.
