FX Is Officially Bringing Back The Bear With A New Season

FX announced that The Bear is coming back with season 2 on Thursday, June 22. FX also released the hit series’ recent artwork for the renewed season.

Carmen Berzatto, portrayed by Jeremy Allen White, takes the lead in “The Bear,” a series that centers around a talented, formally trained chef. Following his brother’s suicide, he returns to his hometown in Chicago to manage his family’s Italian beef store. The cast also features Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Corey Hendrix, and many more.

Season 2 is set to consist of ten episodes, two more than the previous season. The new season will center around the launch of the new restaurant.

Variety disclosed that Bob Odenkirk would be making a guest appearance on the series. Additionally, Molly Gordon has been cast in an important recurring role in the series.

During the 95th Academy Awards, FX unveiled a teaser trailer for the second season. The cast can be seen packing up their things while closing down The Beef to transform it into “The Bear.” FX accompanied the teaser with a caption on social media that read: “It’s more than just a reopening, it’s a complete rebirth.”

Following its premiere, The Bear quickly became FX’s most popular half-hour series. It also went on to earn recognition from multiple awards, including the Screen Actors Guild, Writers Guild, and Producers Guild. Moreover, Jeremy Allen White, who stars in the series, won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Series, Musical, or Comedy.

If you haven’t already watched the series’ first season, click here. Hulu will premiere all ten episodes of the highly popular dark comedy series for streaming exclusively on June 22. However, Season 2 will be accessible on Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ in all other regions at a later time.
