Beyoncé Breaks Record for Largest Audience This Century for a Female Artist
Beyoncé just broke the record for the largest audience this century for a female artist for her performance in Belgium.
She had a reported 53 thousand fans at Belgium’s King Baudouin Stadium on May 14. She is currently on her world tour for her Grammy-winning album, Renaissance. Renaissance has won three Grammys and is referred to as “the Best Album of 2022” by Pitchfork Magazine.
She hit Stockholm first and Brussels was her second location. Stockholm welcomed Beyoncé back after her five-year hiatus with an estimated 45,000 fans in attendance. Since the presale for tickets has ended, prices can range up to $3,000 for VIP tickets to see the artist.

The high ticket prices are an indicator of Beyoncé possibly breaking the record for potential earnings at over $2 billion, which is $500 million more than Taylor Swift. Swift is also currently touring for The Eras Tour.
This would make the Renaissance tour one of the most lucrative tours in history. The prediction is Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour could bring in anywhere between $275 million and $2.4 billion from ticket sales alone by the time it concludes in September. This is based on the optimistic assumption that the average ticket price is about $700.
Renaissance has the potential of becoming Beyoncé’s most lucrative concert tour yet, possibly exceeding the revenue she has earned from all her previous concerts combined.
Renaissance is Beyoncé’s first album since Lemonade in 2016. She has not completely stayed out of the music game, though, as she has produced a few albums. These include Homecoming: The Live Album, a recording of her Coachella performance; The Lion King: The Gift, her album for the live-action remake of the animated movie; and Everything is Love which she produced as the duo team The Carters alongside her husband Jay-Z. However, Beyoncé has not released a new, entirely original solo album in seven years.
Beyoncé will perform in Cardiff, Wales next. Tickets can be purchased here.
