Ryan Gosling Gifts Jimin a Piece of Barbie
Barbie actor, Ryan Gosling, gifted Jimin a piece of Ken’s wardrobe after realizing he copied the singer’s “Permission to Dance” outfit seen in the BTS music video.
Gosling took the matter into his own hands by sharing a video on the official Barbie Twitter account.
“Hi Jimin, it’s Ryan Gosling here. I notice that your ‘Permission to Dance’ outfit is the same as my Ken outfit in the upcoming movie Barbie. I have to give it to you — you wore it first,” Gosling stated. “You definitely wore it best, and there’s an unspoken Ken code that if you bite another Ken’s style, you have to give them your most prized possession. I hope you’ll accept Ken’s guitar as my humble offering. And besides, Ken doesn’t really play anyway, so. . . it’ll be much better in your hands.”

Jimin responded to Gosling’s generous gift with a video captioned, “Thanks for having my outfit in #BarbieTheMovie! You rocked it, Ken 🎸.”
The famous outfit is a black button-down with white floral embroidering and white tassels. Both Jimin and Gosling added their own personalized flare to the outfit, but the similarities in each were too close to miss.
Gosling, who was cast as Ken in Barbie, added a bit of flare – or “Ken-ergy” – to his outfit by tying a pink bandana around his neck and also complimenting his shirt with a pair of black pants. Jimin’s outfit stands out due to the white flare detail at the bottom of his pants to match the white detail on his shirt.
