Cat Power Announces New Live Album

Mario Sorrenti

Cat Power is officially back with new music. “The Greatest” hitmaker’s latest record will pay homage to the incomparable Bob Dylan.

Chan Marshall, better known by her stage name Cat Power, will release a new record titled Power Sings Dylan: The 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert. This is her first release since 2021’s Covers.

Power performed at the iconic Royal Albert Hall last year, where she recreated Bob Dylan’s legendary 1966 set. She is completing her rendition of the concert on November 10 via Domino Records.

“The Moon” singer took to Instagram to express her admiration for Dylan as a singer-songwriter. She writes, “More than the work of any other songwriter, Dylan’s songs have spoken to me, and inspired me since I first began hearing them at 5 years old. As soon as I got the chance to play at Royal Albert Hall last year, the whole thing was a no-brainer. I am so happy to now share this very meaningful concert with all of you.”

The live album will contain 15 tracks. On September 12, Power shared two renditions: “She Belongs to Me” and “Ballad of a Thin Man.”
