Reports speculate Reneé Rapp and musician Towa Bird recently revealed their relationship at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty.

On March 10, Reneé Rapp attended the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty alongside musician Towa Bird. According to People, the pair posed for photographers on the red carpet before joining the party inside the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, where the two enjoyed each others’ company. Bird recently toured with the Mean Girls (2024) star on her Snow Hard Feelings Tour, which will resume on April 14 for Weekend one of Coachella.

Vanity Fair posted a TikTok video of the pair on the red carpet captioned, “Reneé Rapp and Towa Bird make their red carpet debut as a couple,” sending fans into a frenzy awaiting confirmation from Rapp or Bird. Though neither has spoken up regarding the status of their relationship, a photo strip from the Vanity Fair photo booth surfaced online, showing images of the two in playful poses and sharing a kiss. The image is not currently present, but other pictures from the evening can be found on their website.

Bird is a 24-year-old guitarist and vocalist born in Hong Kong to British and Filipino parents but grew up living in Thailand and London, according to NME. In an interview with ESPN, Bird revealed that as a child, she thought she would play sports professionally. “As a 10-year-old, you probably don’t have the best read on what your life will become. And then my life did a full 180. I noodled around when I was young, but at 12, my focus shifted, and I started playing guitar.”

During the pandemic, Bird went viral on TikTok for her numerous music covers, with her videos reaching artists such as Billie Eilish and Tyler, the Creator. Olivia Rodrigo also took notice of the rising artist, who asked Bird if she would be interested in playing guitar for her Disney+ documentary Driving Home 2 U in 2021. Later that year, Bird became label mates with Rodrigo after signing with Interscope Records. Since then, Bird went on to open for Rapp’s Snow Hard Feelings Tour and shared the stage with the singer for her “Tummy Hurts” performance on Late Night with Seth Myers.

Tickets for Rapp’s upcoming tour dates can be purchased on her website, and Bird’s music is available on all streaming platforms.
