After the release of Dune: Part Two, combined with her other films, the overall global box office for Florence Pugh reached over three billion dollars.

Pugh is involved in many of the biggest films of the year. Her recent hit is Dune: Part Two, directed by Denis Villeneuve. The film, which included Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, made over 500 million dollars in the global box office.

Another high-grossing film she was recently in was Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. The winner of this year’s Academy Award for Best Picture made over 900 million dollars in the global box office.

2019 was her breakthrough year. She starred in three films where she presented different sides of her skills. During the fan-acclaimed horror Midsommar, Pugh showcased she has what it takes to be a scream queen. While on Greta Gerwig’s Little Women, she held her own next to big stars like Emma Watson, Meryl Streep, and Laura Dern. Her role in the film won her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars. On a different note, the comedy film Fighting With My Family allowed her to use her comedy and physical skills.

Pugh is also a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Black Widow’s sister, Yelena Belova. The film made over 300 million dollars in the global box office. Overall, the MCU films are strong at the box office, and Pugh’s character is a new addition and will probably be back for more films. Also, the MCU star Zoe Saldana is the seventh highest-grossing actor and the number-one actress in the world.

The English actress from Oxford started her career in 2014 when she was 17-years-old. Her first role was in the mystery/thriller film The Falling. In 2015, she moved to the US but didn’t have a great experience. Pugh has opened up about how production told her to lose weight and how she won’t let that change who she is.

Florence Pugh’s upcoming projects include We Live In Time, Thunderbolts, and The Pact. Dune: Part Two is available in theaters.
