Dua Lipa recently shared a sneak peek of a new single from her upcoming album Radical Optimism. The song “Illusion” will be released on April 11.

On April 4, Lipa announced “Illusion” on her social media pages. So far, it’s the third single from her May studio albumRadical Optimism.

In the snippet she shared on X, the pop singer stuns in the cover art with a white bikini top and matching shawl. Her hair appears wet and slicked back, likely referring to the water droplet emojis she included in her Instagram caption. During the sneak peek, she provides a few lyrics from “Illusion.”

“I could do this dance all night,” she sings. “Ooh, what you doing? Don’t know who you think that you’re confusing.” The beat resembles the vibes of her past work, fast-paced and ready for the dance floor.

Despite the short length of the clip, “Illusion” is already receiving great reception from fans. The other two Radical Optimism singles, “Houdini” and “Training Season,” saw similar reactions leading up to their releases.

Both “Houdini” and “Training Season” performed well on the charts. They debuted at number 11 and number 27 on the Billboard Top 100. Given their successes along with “Illusion,” Radical Optimism‘s future looks bright.

Arriving on May 3, it will be her first full-length album since 2020’s Future Nostalgia. Lipa first announced Radical Optimism on March 13, revealing the cover art and the eleven-track list. She’s since gone to share pieces of her creative vision behind the album with her audience leading up to its release.

“I always go for the most upbeat ones to introduce people to the record,” she discussed with Billboard. “I can just keep on dancing and keep people dancing. We’re trying to create a world in a different way, and sonically it was about experimenting.”

While waiting for “Illusion,” fans can listen to “Houdini” and “Training Season” here.
