Despicable Me 4 Releases New Exclusive Clip
Premiering in theaters July 3, Despicable Me 4 released an exclusive clip bringing insight into the characters’ new adventures.
As tickets officially go on sale, fans are thrilled to see Gru and Lucy taking to the screens on a new quest. With the original Despicable Me (2010) being a $3.7-billion franchise, the fourth upcoming film, Despicable Me 4, is highly anticipated to be another big hit for Universal Pictures and Illumination.
The film follows Gru and Lucy’s adjustment to parent life with their newborn Gru Jr. and three daughters, Margo, Edith, and Agnes. Soon after, their home becomes chaotic as they learn to juggle parenthood. But the recent escape of Maxime Le Mal, the main villain, forces Gru and his family to go into hiding. Events unfold, and the action-packed humor film allows the family to grow and build a loving relationship.
The newest trailer released June 6 shows Gru, his son, and his minions during a heist. Gru Jr. fiddles with the latch of a honey badger, and it escapes, creating chaos. The film is set to follow the villain Maxime Le Mal, a face known to many who watched Minions released in 2015.
Behind the scenes, returning voice actors include Steve Carell as Gru, Miranda Cosgrove as Margo, and Dana Gaier as Edith. In addition, Pierre Coffin voices the Minions, and Kristen Wiig as Lucy Wilde. The film is directed by co-creator of the Minions, Chris Renaud, and produced by Chris Meledandri and Brett Hoffman.

Bringing in various known actors, the film embodies a new era of unforgettable characters. Legendary Will Ferrell joined the film, voicing supervillain Maxime Le Mal. Sofia Vergara will voice Valentina, Joey King will voice Poppy and Steve Coogan voices Silas Ramsbottom.
